Creating My Mobile Application

The kind of mobile application I am building and why people would want to use it.

I am planning to create a Social Networking Application. People would want to use this app because it would enable them to chat with users worldwide and create mobile video as well. Also my app would include a guide to the closest restaurants, hotels, gas station and movie theaters around

Who are my specific users?

My specific users would be teenagers, young adults, adults and business people.

How to keep and grow my user base

I will make my app free to the users and provide updates all the time and also an alert to let the customers know about the new updates.

How to get my app on to my customers

I will post some advertisement on some social networks and internet.

Will I be able to make money with my application?

Yes. I am going to make money from advertisers ads at lower rates. I will make sure my app is free to get a lot of customers.

What activities do I need to complete to publish this application?

I will carry out some research about the needs of the people in terms of video and also the type of updates that would fit into the app.

What resources do I need to produce this application?

Research the software that I would need for the application especially the multimedia software that I would need for the videos.

Open Source

Open Source is an exercise in production and development process that promote access to the end product's source materials. Open source gained more control with the rise of the internet.

Open Source have impacted the developers and end users in so many which include the availability of source code at all time and also the right to modify. It is available at a low cost. It helps the developers with unlimited tuning and improvement of a software product, the possibility of porting code to new hardware in order to adapt to new changing conditions. The various open source initiatives currently being utilized are Sample ICC, IccXML, Argyll, Icms.

Java is an example of an open source application. Java is a programming language which was released in 1995 and was developed by James Gosling at Sun Microsystem. It is one of the most popular programming language in use in these present day. Java applications are compiled to class file that can run on any Java Visual Machine regardless of how the computer was configured. Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is a recent term used for the delivery of computing as a service and not as a product. The term came from the use of a cloud image to represent the internet or large networked area. Cloud computing has three characteristics namely; it is sold on demand by minute or the hour, a user can have as much or as little of a service as they want at any time and lastly, the service is managed by the provider. A cloud computing can be either private or public.

I believe the cloud in the cloud computing is because the end user does not know how the products gets to him/her. Like the electricity supply, the end users do not know the location of the system that delivers the service.

An example of a public cloud is Amazon Web services. Amazon is known to sell services to anyone on the internet. Also the Gas company and the electricity company. For Amazon, customers order stuff on the internet, the stuff would arrive within 2 to 3 days. The customers have no knowledge all the steps the products go through before arriving at the destination.
