Open Source

Open Source is an exercise in production and development process that promote access to the end product's source materials. Open source gained more control with the rise of the internet.

Open Source have impacted the developers and end users in so many which include the availability of source code at all time and also the right to modify. It is available at a low cost. It helps the developers with unlimited tuning and improvement of a software product, the possibility of porting code to new hardware in order to adapt to new changing conditions. The various open source initiatives currently being utilized are Sample ICC, IccXML, Argyll, Icms.

Java is an example of an open source application. Java is a programming language which was released in 1995 and was developed by James Gosling at Sun Microsystem. It is one of the most popular programming language in use in these present day. Java applications are compiled to class file that can run on any Java Visual Machine regardless of how the computer was configured. Its purpose is to let application developers "write once, and run everywhere".
